This guide walks you through everything you need to know about the verification process, from requirements to application to maintaining your verified status.

Verification Requirements
To be eligible for verification, you must meet the following requirements:
Stripe Account
You must have a valid Stripe account connected to receive payments.
Portfolio or Samples
Show us examples of your work. At least 1-2 published free products is recommended.
Contact Information
Provide accurate contact details for verification purposes.
Good Standing
No violations of our terms of service or community guidelines.
Setting Up Stripe
You'll need a Stripe account to receive payments. Stripe supports most countries and provides secure, reliable payment processing.
- Go to stripe.com and create an account
- Complete your Stripe profile and bank account setup
- Return to Themely and connect your Stripe account in verification application

Application Process
Once you meet all requirements, you're ready to apply for verification!
Step 1: Navigate to Settings
- Go to your Author Dashboard
- Click on Account Settings → Author Tab
- Find the "Verification" section
Step 2: Fill Out Application
You'll need to provide:
- Full Legal Name - Required for payment processing
- Contact Email - Where we'll send verification updates
- Portfolio Links - Links to your published products or external portfolio
- Stripe Account - Connect your Stripe account
- Brief Bio - Tell us about your work and what you plan to sell
Step 3: Submit for Review
- Review all information carefully - make sure everything is accurate
- Read and accept the Author Agreement and payment terms
- Click "Submit Application"
- You'll receive a confirmation email immediately

Maintaining Your Verified Status
Once verified, you'll keep your status as long as you:

- Maintain quality standards - Continue providing high-quality products
- Respond to customers - Address reviews and support requests promptly
- Keep Stripe connected - Maintain an active, valid Stripe account
- Stay active - Continue creating or updating products
⚠️ Warning: Verification can be revoked for repeated policy violations, fraudulent activity, or failure to maintain quality standards. We'll always warn you first and give you a chance to address issues.
Common Questions
Can I apply if I'm new and have no products yet?
We recommend creating at least 1-2 free products first. This helps us evaluate your work quality and shows you're committed to being an active author.
What if my application is rejected?
Don't worry! We'll provide specific feedback on why and what you can improve. You can reapply after 30 days once you've addressed the feedback.
How much does Themely take from sales?
Themely takes a 20% platform fee from paid product sales. This covers payment processing, hosting, support, and platform development. You keep 80% of every sale.
Can I lose my verification?
Yes, but only for serious violations like fraudulent activity, repeated policy violations, or quality issues. We always provide warnings first.
Is Stripe the only payment option?
Currently, yes. Stripe provides the best combination of security, reliability, and global coverage for our platform.
