Understand the rules and guidelines for selling on Themely. Following these policies helps maintain a trustworthy marketplace for everyone.
Content Guidelines
All products listed on Themely must meet our quality and content standards.
Allowed Content
- ✓Original designs, templates, and assets you created
- ✓Code, themes, and plugins you have rights to sell
- ✓3D models and graphics you own or have commercial rights to
- ✓Educational content and tutorials
- ✓Fonts you have created or have redistribution rights for
Prohibited Content
- ✗Copyrighted content without proper licensing
- ✗Trademarked logos or brand assets
- ✗Adult, explicit, or NSFW content
- ✗Malware, viruses, or malicious code
- ✗Products promoting hate, violence, or discrimination
- ✗Reselling or repackaging others' work
Licensing Terms
When customers purchase your products, they receive specific usage rights based on the license.
Standard License
Included with every purchase. Allows customers to:
- Use in personal and commercial projects
- Modify and adapt for their needs
- Use in client work (end products)
- Cannot resell or redistribute as-is
- Cannot include in competing products
Extended License (Optional)
Additional rights for specific use cases:
- All Standard License rights
- Use in products for sale (merchandise, etc.)
- Unlimited end products
You can offer extended licenses at a higher price point.
Important
You retain copyright ownership of your work. You're granting usage rights, not transferring ownership.
Quality Standards
Products must meet minimum quality standards to be listed on Themely.
Professional Quality
Products should be polished and ready for use.
Complete Files
Include all necessary files and assets. No broken links.
Accurate Description
Listing must accurately represent what's included.
Documentation
Complex products should include basic documentation.
Sales Policy
All Sales Are Final
Due to the nature of digital products, all sales are final and non-refundable. Once a product is downloaded, the transaction is complete.
Why No Refunds?
Digital products can be instantly downloaded and copied. Unlike physical goods, we cannot verify that a product hasn't been used or retained after a "return."
Having Issues?
If you experience technical problems with a purchased product (corrupted files, missing assets, etc.), contact our support team. We review all cases individually and will work with you and the author to resolve legitimate issues.
Product Not as Described?
If a product significantly differs from its description or preview images, please contact support with details. We take these reports seriously and may take action against products that misrepresent their contents.
For Authors: This policy protects your work from abuse. Ensure your product descriptions are accurate to avoid disputes.
Account Policies
One Account Per Person
Multiple accounts are not allowed. Teams should use one shared account.
Be Respectful
Treat customers and other authors with respect. No harassment.
Accurate Information
Keep your account and payment information accurate and up-to-date.
Policy Violations
Violations of our policies may result in:
- Warning and product removal
- Temporary account suspension
- Permanent account termination
- Legal action (for serious violations)
Copyright Infringement: Uploading copyrighted content you don't own is taken very seriously and may result in immediate account termination.
