- 1. Go to the signup page
Visit /signup or click "Sign up" in the navigation. - 2. Click "Sign up with Discord"
You'll see a Discord button at the top of the signup form. - 3. Authorize Themely on Discord
Discord will ask you to authorize Themely to access your basic profile information (username, email, avatar). - 4. Complete registration
After authorization, your Themely account will be created automatically with your Discord username and email.

Visit /login - 2. Click "Continue with Discord"
The Discord button is at the top of the login form. - 3. Authorize (if needed)
If you're already logged in to Discord, you'll be signed in immediately. Otherwise, Discord will ask you to log in first.
Linking Discord to Existing Account
If you already have a Themely account (created with email/password), you can link your Discord account to enable Discord login:

Navigate to Account Settings and click on the "Security" tab. - 2. Find the Discord Connection section
You'll see a card titled "Discord Connection" at the top of the Security tab. - 3. Click "Connect Discord"

Your Themely username will be automatically updated to match your Discord username. If your Discord username is already taken, a number will be appended (e.g., username_1).
Already Linked to Another Account?
If you see an error saying "This Discord account is already linked to another Themely account," it means your Discord is connected to a different profile. You'll need to disconnect it from the other account first, or use a different Discord account.
Syncing Your Username from Discord
If you changed your Discord username and want to update your Themely username to match:
- 1. Go to Account Settings → Security
- 2. Find the Discord Connection card
- 3. Click "Sync Username"
Your Themely username will be updated to match your current Discord username.
Note: If your new Discord username is already taken on Themely, a number will be appended to make it unique.
Disconnecting Your Discord Account
If you want to unlink your Discord account from Themely:
- 1. Go to Account Settings → Security
- 2. Find the Discord Connection card
- 3. Click "Disconnect"
A confirmation dialog will appear. - 4. Confirm disconnection
Click "Disconnect Discord" in the dialog to confirm.
Important: Set Email/Password First!
You cannot disconnect Discord if it's your only login method. Make sure you have an email and password set before disconnecting Discord, otherwise you won't be able to log in!
Note: Your username will remain unchanged after disconnecting. You can change it manually in your profile settings if desired.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Discord login secure?
Yes! We use Discord's official OAuth 2.0 authentication, which is a secure industry-standard protocol. Your Discord password is never shared with Themely.
What information does Themely get from Discord?
We only access your Discord username, user ID, email address, and avatar. We don't access your Discord servers, messages, or friends list.
Can I have both email/password and Discord login?
Yes! You can link Discord to an existing email/password account. This gives you the flexibility to sign in with either method.
What happens to my username when I connect Discord?
Your Themely username will be automatically updated to match your Discord username. If that username is already taken, we'll add a number to make it unique (e.g., username_1).
Will disconnecting Discord change my username?
No. Your username will remain the same after disconnecting Discord. You can change it manually in your profile settings if you want.
