    Commercial Use Rights

Understand what you can and cannot do with products in commercial projects.

    Can I Use Products Commercially?

    Yes! Commercial use is allowed.

All products on Themely (both free and paid) include commercial use rights with the standard license. You can use them in projects you charge money for.

This applies to all products unless explicitly stated otherwise on the product page.

    What is Commercial Use?

Commercial use means using a product in any project where you or your company makes money, either directly or indirectly.

    Examples of Commercial Use:

    • Using a template for a client's website you're being paid to build
    • Using icons in a mobile app you sell on app stores
    • Using UI components in your company's SaaS product
    • Using graphics in marketing materials for your business
    • Using fonts in a logo design you sell to a client

    What You CAN Do

    Client Work
Use products in projects for clients you charge money for. No extra license needed.
    Your Business
Use in your company's products, services, marketing, or internal tools.
    Digital Products
Use in websites, apps, software, or digital services you sell or monetize.
    Modify & Adapt
Edit, customize, and adapt products to fit your commercial projects perfectly.

    What You CANNOT Do

Even with commercial use rights, you still cannot:

    • Resell or Redistribute

Cannot sell the product as-is or include it in competing marketplaces, template libraries, or design resource sites.

    • Share or Give Away

Cannot share the source files with others or make them publicly downloadable.

    • Claim as Your Own

Cannot claim you created the original product or register it as your copyright/trademark.

    • Use in Competing Products

Cannot include in products that compete with the original (e.g., other templates, UI kits, asset packs).

    Special Cases

    Working in a Team?

One license per end product. If multiple team members need to access the source files for different projects, each project needs its own license.

Example: If 3 designers are working on the same client website, 1 license is enough. But if working on 3 different client websites, you need 3 licenses.

    Physical Products (Merchandise)

Using designs on physical products for sale (t-shirts, mugs, posters) typically requires an Extended License.

Standard license covers digital end products. Extended license covers physical merchandise.

    Not Sure If You're Allowed?

When in doubt, check the specific product page for any additional restrictions, or contact the author directly. Most authors are happy to clarify.
